Ensuring effective performance testing requires tight integration with the release process. Integrating and automating tests into the continuous integration flow enables teams to catch issues earlier and test their code against real-world traffic scenarios before it's released to production.
As part of our commitment to support continuous testing for our DevOps users, we are excited to announce Nouvola’s new integration with TeamCity. TeamCity provides a CI solution for build management and continuous integration. The solution is quite popular for its great out-of-the-box experience and superb integrated dashboard. This latest addition augments our rich set of integrations, which already includes Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, New Relic, Postman and others.
The Nouvola integration with TeamCity goes beyond the typical one-way integration between a CI server and a performance testing solution. Specifically, it will enable developers to:
- Add Nouvola as a Build Step
- Trigger Nouvola performance tests in TeamCity
- Allow a test to wait for completion
- Use Nouvola webhook for notifications
- Get alerts with pass / fail information based on test goal
- Visualize detailed actionable test results
Take a look at this page to see detailed instructions of how to install the Nouvola TeamCity plugin and use it. Once installation is complete, you can add it as a Build Step. Don’t forget to add a webhook to be notified when your tests complete. You can run multiple performance tests as part of your Build Step, in sequence or in parallel.
Enter the required information and Nouvola DiveCloud test will run every time your build gets executed. Welcome to performance testing built for your CI flow and true continuous testing. Now any bottlenecks will get caught earlier, your software will be more robust, and you’ll have definitive performance data for SLA compliance.
